Our Story

It all started when…

I was invited to facilitate a gathering of women from across Africa for a conference titled ‘Women Advancing Africa’ as spearhead by Graça Machel. I had a simple proposal to the organizing committee, what if we did something different, something bolder? What if we designed the entire program so that we are not only discussing in theory what it means to advance women across Africa, but that every women in the room feels for herself her own power.

They said yes and I said yes to designing in tandem an empowering experience of connection and expansion. The result was a series of powerful breakthroughs for hundreds of women. It also led to the founding of She ROARs. 

Since its founding, She ROARs has been supporting hundreds of women across Africa and the world to connect to the power of their ROAR.
